Office terraces - Islington

When Barker Langham moved into these new offices they had two outdoor spaces which they were unsure how to use.

We created inviting and useful spaces with seating and planting which could be used for employees to relax in, meet in or simply enjoy as a view through the window.

The lower terrace is enclosed and receives very little sunlight so lush textured planting was created with shade loving plants such as ferns and hostas.

The upper terrace has a more open aspect and was planted with a mixture of tactile, fragrant plants in the relaxing palette of purple, white and green. In the centre a magnificent palm symbolises the Middle Eastern connection where much of Barker Langham’s work exists.
